Alex & Hazel, Kelston Roundhill.

Alex and Hazel got married on a beautifully sunny day at Bath Registry Office - which is an old courthouse with raised seating from those days! The reception then followed at Kelston Roundhill. This was the first time I'd photographed a wedding at this gorgeous venue, and I've since been back, and I'm one of their recommended suppliers!

Kelston Roundhill had extra special significance for Alex and Hazel, as it's only a short walk away from their home. When I met up with them for their engagement shoot, we went out on their usual walk from their home to a nearby hill where you can look out over Kelston, where they later on got married.

First I joined Hazel, her bridesmaids, and her Mum at her and Alex's home for their bridal prep!

Alex and his family were getting ready nearby in an airbnb. This wedding was extra special as the year before, I was the photographer for the wedding of one of Alex's siblings! So it was great fun to be back with their wider family and catch up with my last couple! From the airbnb we headed on to a pub nearby to the registry office for them all to grab a pint in the sun ahead of the ceremony.

Then it was time to get into the dress! Hazel had found her stunning vintage dress second hand, and it fitted her perfectly.

The few quiet moments before walking down the aisle...

The ceremony was filled with laughs (mostly at how many middle names Alex has...), and my previous bride from the year before gave a speech! It's so lovely to follow families over many years.

We headed outside, and Alex and Hazel were waved off by all their loved ones as they drove away towards their reception in the beautiful hills outside of Bath.

As everyone arrived at the venue to drinks and canapés, I mingled and captured everyone enjoying themselves in the sun.

Some of the gorgeous details of the day.

We headed out to the front of the venue for the group photos. As I'd learnt the year before - Alex's family is huge and they have so many siblings! Thankfully we had plenty of space at Kelston Roundhill to fit everyone in.

One of my favourite things about Kelston is the beautiful spaces we get to explore! Alex and Hazel had chosen their wedding day perfectly and the field behind the barn was full of flowers, giving us the most incredible backdrop to their couple photos.

Whilst the three of us had snuck off for the couple portraits, the rest of the guests had headed inside and got seated for the meal. It was now time to announce the couple in!

Time for the speeches and food!

After the food, everyone got back out into the sun for more drinks and games.

I caught Alex rehearsing a song he had written especially for Hazel...

With no traditional first dance, the evening kicked off with a ceilidh!

Not forgetting the special song for Hazel - Alex had even printed lyric sheets for all of the guests!

And back to more of the ceilidh!

The beautiful view from Kelston Roundhill back towards Bath.
